EUFED's Annual General Assembly and the 19th European Regional Youth Hostel Conference were hosted by FUAJ, the French Youth Hostel Association, and took place in Rouen Youth Hostel 24-26 June 2011.

Under the motto "Thinking local – Acting European: towards a strategy for European Youth Hostels", presentations provided information on Youth Hostels in Europe and analysis of the European market and on cooperation between European Youth Hostel Associations. Best practices were exchanged on the following issues:

- Quality: how to succeed in making the transition from the development of a static tool to ensuring its active use and successful bi-lateral cooperation after the HI-Q certification in LAJ (Les Auberges de Jeunesse - Belgium)
- Sustainability: YHA England and Wales and sustainability via their vision, mission and values
- The MOVIC project developed in Spain by REAJ and involving young artists and art activities to promote the youth hostel network.
