112: European emergency number

23/03/2010

EUFED is supporting the 112 Foundation in promoting and disseminating information on the European emergency number: 112. Be part of it!

112 is the phone number to call emergency services throughout the EU, from fixed or mobile phones, free of charge, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can reach the European emergency number 112 in all Member States of the European Union as well as in Croatia, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, Turkey, Switzerland and Vatican.

The 112 Foundation is providing posters to raise awareness of citizens travelling in the EU. To download the poster: http://www.eufed.org/content/file/112_poster.pdf

We invite you to hang up the posters where they will be the most visible for your guests:

  • - On the desk at the reception office / on the wall behind the reception desk
  • - Within special information on safety and security of the youth hostel
  • - On doors, inside bedrooms
  • - On doors of stairs / inside the lift
  • - On doors of kitchens and bathrooms
