- Water saving devices in the dormitories and kitchen
- Recovery of rainwater for the garden
- 70 % of domestic hot water are produced by solar panels

- Fruit and vegetable waste are composted
- Hostel staff and guests recycle: glass, paper, plastic, metal
3. Education:
- Workshops offered to local elementary school students to teach about gardening.
- The guests of YH can use the products of the garden to prepare their meals: tomatoes, cutters, currants, salads...
