Cooperation with European Youth Card Association (EYCA)

EYCA brings together 41 member organizations that issue the European Youth Card in 38 countries in order to promote youth mobility and active citizenship. EYCA member organisations have 5.1 million cardholders under the age of 30 and an extensive communication network that keeps cardholders up to date with new discounts and opportunities. The discounts and benefits offered through the European Youth Card are valid throughout Europe. EYCA member organisations work with banks, companies, local public transport, railways, travel agencies, airlines, camping sites, student dormitories.

A great track of record of EYCA’s work with hostels is described below:

• In Croatia, the European Youth Card is co-branded with Hostelling International membership card offering discounts and benefits in Croatian youth hostels and in over 4000 Hostelling International hostels in over 80 countries worldwide.
• In Portugal, Pousadas the Juventude, the national youth hostels chain, offers a 15% discount on accommodation in multiple rooms and 10% off double rooms in 45 locations.
• In Luxembourg, the European Youth Card includes the Hostelling International membership card and is available to young people under 30.
• In Switzerland, young people enjoy discounts on accommodation in 70 chalets of the Naturfreunde association.
